Capitol Hill's historic Eastern Market building and farmers market stands, done in an expressive, intuitive, sketchy style with pen and professional Copic markers.
In this sketchy style, I jump straight into the pen drawing, with no pencil draft to guide me. I am working swiftly to capture the essence of a subject and letting the realness of my lines give insight into my hand movements and how I see a subject, without meticulous concern for "perfection." The resulting artwork has a "sketchy" feel compared to the more precise feel of some of my pen/watercolor artwork.
